Derek J. Demeri

Derek (he/him or they/them) is a litigation associate with Zeff Law Firm, LLC focusing on civil rights and employment discrimination in New Jersey and Eastern Pennsyvlania. They have been a sex worker advocate for close to a decade now, co-founding the New Jersey Red Umbrella Alliance, serving on the Board of Directors for the Sex Workers Outreach Project USA, and holding the United States accountable before the United Nations Human Rights Council in 2015 for human rights violations against sex workers. Before law school, he also was a boycott organizer with the international labor union UNITE HERE!
