Joe Gow, PhD

Joe Gow served as chancellor and communication studies professor at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse from 2007 to 2023. Prior to that, he was provost and interim president at Nebraska Wesleyan University. And earlier in his career he served in administrative and faculty positions at Winona State University and Alfred University. He holds a Ph.D. in speech communication from Penn State University, an M.A. in speech communication from the University of Alabama, and a B.A. in journalism from Penn State. He is married to Dr. Carmen Wilson, former provost of the institution formerly known as Medaille University.
