Nicole Prause, PhD is a clinical scientist, specialized in neuroscience and statistics, and a licensed psychologist. After she published the first neuroscience test of the pornography addiction model from her student, Cameron Staley’s, dissertation in 2013, she became a target for false conspiracies and safety threats. She has continued to publish peer-reviewed papers about the effects of sex and pornography, and also document the attempts of non-science activists to stop science in the area of sexuality in peer-reviewed papers. She is a bioinformatics programmer at the University of California, Los Angeles, currently running a large study of male orgasm physiology.
