J. Leigh Oshiro-Brantly
they/them
As a multiracial genderqueer researcher and sex worker, J. Leigh Oshiro-Brantly has co-authored a study on sex workers and COVID-19, studied the transphobia and queerphobia experienced by LGBTQ sex workers, and co-produced a film with sex workers, CAER.
They have worked at various U.S. organizations and presented on (dis)ability sexual inclusion, BDSM, trans, and sex worker harm reduction principles. They currently work with The Ishtar Collective, Decriminalize Sex Work, and NYTAG, all organizations for sex workers and survivors of human trafficking. When the pandemic allows, they plan to re-start Ph.D. studies focusing on sex workers and mobility-impaired clients.
