Julie Gillis is a storyteller, a media producer and consultant working with a wide variety of media makers. She is most known for her producing skills, creating a successful women’s comedy festival LAFF in Austin, TX, and two storytelling shows BedPost Confessions (Austin, TX) a storytelling show that focused on sexuality, relationships, and gender, as well as (un)Spoken, a storytelling series focused on other difficult topics such as death, illness, parenthood. She is a staunch advocate for building community, holding and providing space for stories to be told, and human rights. She helps people and communities tell stories that advance social change.
