Tracie Q. Gilbert, PhD (she/they) is an educator, writer and researcher, with over 20 years of experience providing service to urban youth, young adults, and their advocates. Tracie received her Masters of Science in Education at the University of Pennsylvania, and completed doctoral studies with the Center for Human Sexuality Studies at Widener University. Dr. Gilbert’s research interests include sexualized racism and racialized sexuality, adolescent sexuality development, sexuality and faith, and social justice-based sexuality education. She is a passionate scholar of all topics related to the sexuality development of African Americans, including both historical and contemporary elements informing this process.
